When I use my presentation clicker with the iDeaL slideshows, it just moves to the next slide without moving through the current slide’s details. Why is this?

Some clickers allow you to click through animations, while others move straight to the next slide. This usually comes down to how the clicker is programmed, as different models behave differently.  Some options are:

  • The Logitech R500 clicker is compatible with iDeaL Slideshows. This model allows you to click through animations within a slide rather than skipping directly to the next slide.
  • Some schools use a wireless mouse, often placed on a book or similar surface.  We understand this seems to work reliably.
  • A member of our iDeaL Facebook group has previously posted about a Temu clicker which works well. If you’re a member, search for this post and read through the comments.  It sounds like a good option for HP devices, but possibly less reliable on Macs.
